Headlight Assembly Questions

Does anyone know how to remove the front headlight assembly/ remove the headlight bulb?

 

I do have a service manual buried here somewhere; let me see if I can find it tonight.

That's frustrating! I can't put my finger on it right now. Just found my service manuals for my old ninja 250, my new 300, my wife's TTR, but no dice on the Honda yet. I did get it from that crfsonly link above awhile back. I'm sure it will turn up, but weird that it's not where it is supposed to be...

 

Ah dang, oh well. Funny how that seems to happen to things when you need them

take out the 4 bolts, and just unplug it, pretty simple!
Buy the manual or I have a file with it, scanned from someone who bought one!

 

I keep meaning to buy one; by chance would you be willing to upload that file somewhere? I'd really appreciate it.

To remove Headlight housing to access Headlight Bulb:
Remove the 4 bolts holding the housing marked #9 in the drawing (image below)Remove the rubber cup at rear of housing to access the plug. Squeeze the two small ridges in each side of the plug to release the clips that lock the pug to the bulb. Remove plug from bulb. Undo clip that holds bulb in the housing. Remove bulb. Everything goes back together in the reverse order.

 

I just bought one on ebay for £8, on CDROM
