Hi. Total newbie here and first post. Just recently got a crf250l, and about 3 weeks later had a theft attempt on it!!! Top yoke got damage during the attempt after steering lock was broken. I'm half tempted to purchase this and have a go at replacing it myself. I'm quite a noobie when it comes to mechanics and whatnot, most I do is oil changes and tyre pressure checks. Anyone here got an opinion on whether this is an "easy" job, or is there some specialist knowledge needed? As far as I can tell, I just need to make sure I torque the various nuts to spec when putting the new one back on. But perhaps I am missing something? Does something special need to be done to ensure it is aligned with the other clamps on the suspension, and am I better off having a dealer look at it? Any comments welcome. Thanks
Hi BaconSteaky, Have you received any advise? If not how did you handle that issue? I'm asking because I had an accident and have to realign the fork which should be a similar task.
