The stock tires work fine for me in the dirt - but I want to be able to lean more on the street without feeling like the treads are about to peel off. Has anyone used Shink 700 or 705 tires? They get good reviews on the Motortcycle Superstore. The 705's remind me of the Metzler Tourances I've used and liked on other bikes. I think the tread pattern on the 700 might suit me better for how I use this bike though. FWIW: I've got single parent dysfunction - lack of funds and limited riding time - so price is as important as function.
I'll be spooning on some Shinkos after I finish burning through the stockers. BTW, Shinko sent me a mailer last week. Deep discounts?
Being British, I use tyres, not tires... I'm running Pirelli MT43's - mainly because they are just about the only thing that fits that comply with the competition regulations for MCC trials...
Touche. More importantly ... if you are running stock tires (tyres) you should be running recommended PSI ... but what about anyone running 17" street tires(tyres) on motard rims? I'm running 35 but think I should be running maybe 30 or 32psi.
