Hey Guys and Gals, Andrew here from ADVMoto Magazine. We're working on a CRF 250L Rally Project with Patrick Trahan as our consultant. He'll be visiting us within the next couple of weeks to install his prototype rally tower and bodywork on our bike. I'll keep this thread updated with the progress.
Here she is, the ADVMoto CRF250L Rally Replica. Still needs a little polishing and a few more decals. Overall the kit is extremely sturdy. No weird vibrations from the kit. The side panels are made of fiberglass (reinforced by carbon), finished with plasti dip. The bike can easily be converted back to original. The kit adds a 6.9lbs to the bike. It dramatically increases wind protection at high speeds. You can stand (crouched) at highway speeds and not get wind blasted. This is the adventure kit so its equipped with two ram mounts and two USB sockets. Lights are Denali's provided through Twisted Throttle.
I can't help thinking that it would look a lot better if the screen wasn't transparent, and hid some of the metalwork. Right now it looks like a prototype of the Terminator...
