Hello guys I'm a bit confused about how to adjust the chain on the crf250l. See in the hand book it shows checking free play at the bottom. But I can't figure out how to measure the free play 35mm as the chain can touch the swinging arm. As anyone got any tips or even a video on how to do the Cain on this bike.

I will have to take a look at it tonight. The 35mm means from as far down as you can pull it (from the center of the bottom part of the chain) down, then up, it should be about 35mm between those two extremes. Are you saying that when you pull the bottom chain run up, it's hitting the swingarm so you can extend it further?

Yeah I think it should be 35mm that the chain can travel up and down when pulling on it, that's what I did and it worked out fine, did a huge ride afterwards and no problems. Reminds me I should probably check mine again. It needed it at 500mi. Probably needs another slight adjustment at 1,700mi.
