That did not stop Pedro Acosta from claiming the lead of FP2, the championship leader making solid progress throughout the session. Alberto Surra continued an excellent showing in Misano with second position and Ayumu Sasaki made a late jump into third, ahead of Niccolò Antonelli, while Filip Salac joined the top five despite a late tumble at turn 10.
