Hi, Just bought a new 2018 CRF250L, having chopped in my 2000 Harley Sportster for some off road fun. It’s been a brutal Midwest winter and I can’t wait to get some dirt on my new beast. With that in mind, are there any people out there that know of and can recommend some good trails in NW Illinois? Also, any feedback on the best hand guards and skid plates would be appreciated. We've had a pretty cold winter up here, too. Finally this week it has relented and I've been able to get out on the bike. I really like the Zeta handguards and they have built-in LED turn signals that are useful. Easy to install and tough - I've dropped the bike a few times to test them. I have the Flatland Racing skidplate - good coverage, good mounting hardware, fairly reasonably priced.
