WABDR Stevenson to Packwood

    I took the LRP to Stevenson and did day one of the bdr

    Due to my driving mis Daisy speed I managed to get 79mpg while playing in the dirt.

    Looks like pretty manageable terrain. Was it? I was thinking of doing the Idaho and Washington parts next summer.

    yep. just some ruts and one section with deep gravel. on the video that was made on the bdr they said that the point of day one was to get to day 2.
    If I get a couple days off I might just ride to packwood and try some other sections.

    I completed the WABDR solo about 3 years ago on my KLR. The terrain is very manageable. I would think that someone with some basic skills could do it. I think that it is considered the easiest of the BDR's. I didn't even find Baby Head Hill to be much of a problem. Stand up, get some momentum and you're done! I didn't camp. I didn't want to haul the gear. Stayed in hotels/motels. Had a great time. Hopefully I can do it with my daughter on her CRF.
