Royal Enfield is moving along well recently in terms of growth. The company will build a new production facility in Chachoengsao, Thailand, according to the Bangkok Post.

This will serve as the company’s manufacturing facility for Southeast Asia and produce several bikes for the region.

Thailand is already a strong market for Royal Enfield, but the company wants to expand its influence there, and this will only help that. The facility wants to have 36 dealerships by mid-2021. In Asia-Pacific, RE has 150 dealers, so there’s plenty of locations for this new Chachoengsao plant to provide bikes to.

The new facility is expected to create about 3,500 motorcycles per year once it is up and running. Those bikes will be spread out across the region.

Moves like this are interesting for Royal Enfield. The company continues to expand its lineup—the new Meteor 350 was recently released—and it has vowed to release several new motorcycles in the next few years.

The focus is on crafting Royal Enfield into a global brand instead of it being just a huge player in the Indian market. So far, it seems the company is succeeding.
