CryptoDATA Threatens Legal Action Against Dorna And IRTA Over Loss Of Grid Slots

The case surrounding CryptoDATA's loss of the RNF MotoGP grid slots continues to rumble on. Today, CryptoDATA CEO, speaking as CEO of RNF Racing, distributed a press release to a range of media outlets stating that they would be undertaking legal action against Dorna and IRTA.

The case involves the withdrawal of grid slots by Dorna, announced on the Monday after the final round of MotoGP at Valencia in 2023. Dorna and IRTA made the decision to withdraw the grid slots because of "repeated infractions and breaches of the Participation Agreement affecting the public image of MotoGP", according to the statement announcing the decision. US-based outfit Trackhouse was announced as the new team owners a week later, in early December.

The press release claims that RNF has suffered "significant financial losses" as a result of Dorna's decision to withdraw their grid slots at the end of 2023, as well as suffering reputational damage that is hampering their business.
