Davide Brivio Appointed As Team Principal To Trackhouse Racing MotoGP Team

After months of speculation about where former Suzuki team boss Davide Brivio would end up after he left the Alpine F1 organization, today, the Trackhouse Racing MotoGP team announced that the Italian would be joining them as Team Principal, starting immediately. Brivio will work alongside Wilco Zeelenberg, who remains as team manager.

There had been rumors placing Brivio in just about every MotoGP structure. There was talk he would replace Alberto Puig at Repsol Honda, or that Brivio was being groomed to replace Lin Jarvis at Yamaha Motor Racing when Jarvis retires in the next couple of years. Those rumors were further fuelled by Jarvis telling reporters on Monday that he would definitely be leading YMR until the end of this year, though Jarvis insisted a replacement would come from Yamaha internally.
