Fermín Aldeguer To Pramac? How MotoGP's Silly Season Might Play Out

With 19 of the 22 riders in MotoGP out of contract at the end of 2024, the rider market was sure to start early. Early turns out to be January, with Motorsport.com backing up earlier reporting by Italian YouTube journalist "Mister Helmet" that Ducati have signed Fermín Aldeguer to race for the Pramac Ducati squad on 2025.

In a video for the MotoGP.com website, Pramac team manager Gino Borsoi refuses to either confirm or deny the reports. "Honestly, I just want to comment on 2024," Borsoi said. "About the future, we will talk again, but later on." Reports coming out of Jerez, where the Moto2 and Moto3 classes are gathered for a test, suggest that Aldeguer has offers from just about every team in MotoGP, and that a final decision is yet to be made. Ducati are believed to be the front runner, however, with an announcement in the next few weeks.
