Jerez MotoGP Thursday Round Up: Contract Time Approaching, Pramac's Possibly Switch, The 2027 Rules, And Front Tire Pressures

Jerez is more than just a return to Europe. It is a return to the traditional European paddock, packed to overflowing with hospitality units and race trucks that seem to multiply in both size and number over the winter. You would swear that they were breeding during the winter break.

And it is a return to the business of talking contracts, with managers stalking the paddock and testing the market to see where there might be openings for next year. It is still way too early to be signing contracts, but now is definitely the right time to be starting conversations and testing the waters.

Or making your intentions clear. "I would like to continue here, in the same place that I am," Monster Energy Yamaha rider Alex Rins told us on Thursday afternoon. "Because the team is working so hard, is working so well. And it looks like they have their minds working already for next year to improve the bike. So I'm quite convinced."
