What is your clutch free play setting?

The manual says to use 10mm-20mm free play at the end of the clutch level. That seems REALLY loose, and it makes the engagement point almost right at the handle bar. No likey.

I've adjusted my clutch so it's a little tighter, and the engagement point is almost all the way out. I like this a lot better.

I just want to make sure my clutch is fully engaging / disengaging with this setting. Free play is minimal, but I think it's enough. (about a nickle width between the lever and the pertch).

Anyone else use a smaller free play setting?

My clutch is set similar to yours - almost all the way out. Seems to work just fine. Any closer and you'd probably spend more time slipping the clutch. The clutch is so light on this bike that having it engage/disengage at that point makes quick work of shifts and downshifts.
